The extreme sports section aims to give some basic information on most forms of extreme sports and some links to the major govening bodies of those sports for those who are interested to delve further into this area.

          BASE jumping is a sport involving the use of a parachute to jump from fixed objects.           "BASE" is an acronym that stands for the four catagories of fixed objects from which            one can jump.

               -Building

               -Earth ( a cliff or other such natural formation)

*Barefoot Skiing

          Barefoot skiing is skiing behind a motorboat without the use of water skis. commonly           referred to as "barefooting". Barefooting requires the skiier to travel at higher speeds           then with conventional waterskiing.

*BMX Freestyle

          BMX ( an acronym for bicycle motorcross) is a form of cycling on specially designed            bicycles which usually have 18 to 24 inch wheels ( the norm being 20 inch). The sport            includes racing on earthen tracks, known as BMX Racing, as well as the performance            of tricks on the bikes known as BMX Freestyling.
